PERKINS MAGAZINE

It's was great to hear Issue Number #1 of the "NEW Perkins Magazine" was well received by both staff of the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, as well the general reading public!

A good mix of medical, health related and educational articles, along with some nice imagery, eye catching design and great print finish has kicked off the new publication in style!
We look forward to pulling together Issue #2 with the Perkins team later in the year.

ALL EYES ON BROOME

Four times a year community volunteers gather on the shores of Roebuck Bay to enjoy fresh muffins and coffee before heading out onto the mudflats to monitor the health of Broome’s seagrass meadows- one of the bay’s most fundamental yet fragile ecosystems.

Working with the Environs Kimberley Group, it was our challenge to create an identity that captured both the spirit & energy of the team while presenting a harmonious visual representation of location specific imagery and colours of the region.

In the area? Why not joint the team as they march out onto the mudflats, find dugong feeding trails and fascinating sea creatures whilst contributing to an important data set that helps monitor the health of Roebuck Bay. Everyone is welcome!

HOT START TO 2015

It wasn't only the extreme Perth temperatures that were trending in January, it seems coffee was also on a few peoples minds. Despite the sweltering heat, world tennis champion Serena Williams was adamant in her request for an Espresso mid-match during the recent Hopman Cup at the Perth Arena. The Arena's preferred coffee supplier, The Northbridge Coffee Roasters were only more than happy to oblige. We're glad it gave her the buzz she was after. Check the full story here

January also saw the launch of The Northbridge Coffee Roasters new website. It was pretty exciting to finally get the go ahead and go-live after nearly a year of lovingly crafting and designing the site. With great imagery and comprehensive coffee info, it showcases the huge range of products, services and machinery available as well as the state-of-the-art facilities and educational services they offer. Josh from Hylin came to us with a Café concept of high expectation. To see how he’s pulled it off is amazing. Its always great to see a project through from its inception to the final product and with Hylin we were lucky enough to get in at the start so we have tied the look and feel of the brand in with his architectural choices and its all come together very smoothly. LETTERPRESS LOVE

A request for a wedding invitation and accompanying suite of items provided the perfect opportunity to one again work with the wonderful team at Whiteman Park Print.

The use of letterpress printing was the ideal way of presenting a bespoke, personalised and memorable visual request from the happy couple to their guests. Metallic inks further enhanced the refined appearance, with a crisp white slightly textured stock helping say “wedding” without the usual fuss! We can’t recommend Whiteman Park Print enough. Taking time to oversee a job on the press provides both an enlightening and educational experience.  It’s great to see true craftsmen in action.
